Step-by-step guide to our photo book creation
Whether it's a significant life event or a small but heartfelt moment in your daily routine, we believe in sharing stories through print. While creating a photo book is an excellent way to document your most meaningful memories, finding the time or a simple process to bring your vision to life can be challenging. That’s where our team of professional designers steps in. From gathering your ideas and curating the best photos to delivering a breathtaking final product, we’re here to help every step of the way.

This guide will walk you through the entire photo book creation process.

1. Choose the right format and place your order

We offer several photo book options to suit different occasions:

Hardcover Photo Book: This format is perfect for preserving significant milestones like weddings or birthdays. Durable and elegant, it ensures that your memories are cherished for years.

Softcover Photo Book: is perfect for gifts, family albums, or everyday albums.

Mini Photo Book: This compact, budget-friendly book (5.5×5.5 inches) captures small, everyday moments. It has some limitations: up to 100 pages, one photo per page, 10 cover options, and one round of revisions. Note that we don’t select photos for mini books; you must provide a pre-sorted archive.

Art Book: A unique album for showcasing your child’s creative projects. Check out our dedicated guide on preserving children’s artwork for more details.

We’re constantly expanding our product line. Follow us on social media to stay updated on new offerings.

How to place your order

After selecting your preferred photo book, add it to your cart. Be sure to include a preliminary title and the theme for your photo book (both can be updated later). If you’d like additional copies, you can add them at a discounted rate.

Please proceed to checkout and ensure your email address is accurate. This will be our primary communication channel for important updates and links.

2. Prepare and send your files

Within 12 hours of placing your order, you’ll receive a welcome email with detailed instructions on preparing and submitting your photos.

Preparing your photos

You can choose to:
  • Provide an archive of photos for us to curate. Highly recommended for best results.
  • Submit pre-selected photos for us to incorporate into the final design.

Organize your photos by month, theme, or location for a smoother process. The clear organization helps our designers create your book more efficiently.

Note the photo limits for different book types:

Book Type Photo Limit
Hardcover/Softcover

200 photos: up to 50 interior pages

400 photos: 60-100 interior pages

600 photos: 110-150 interior pages

800 photos: 160-200 interior pages

Mini Photo Book 1 page = 1 photo
Art Book 1 page = 1 artwork

Once your archive is ready, upload it to a file-sharing platform (e.g., Google Drive or WeTransfer) and share the download link with us.

Fill out the design brief

Complete a short form detailing your preferences for the cover, interior pages, font styles, color palette, and more. The more specific you are, the better we can bring your vision to life. This step typically takes just a few minutes but significantly impacts the final result.

Timeline: Although there is no strict deadline, we recommend submitting your materials within 3-5 days of placing your order.

3. Our designers create your photo book layout

Once we receive your materials, our designers will get to work. The standard turnaround time for a draft layout is four business days (often sooner). If additional information is needed, the timeline may be adjusted accordingly.

The design process includes:
  • Curating your photos (if applicable).
  • Creating cover and interior page layouts based on your design brief.
  • Incorporating any provided text.
We do not proofread your text, so please ensure it is error-free before submission.

Once the draft is ready, we will email you a link to review it.

4. Review and approve the layout

You’ll have seven calendar days to review the draft and provide feedback through a user-friendly app. If you’re satisfied, approve the layout, and we’ll send it to print the next business day.

If revisions are needed, detail your requests thoroughly. While revision rounds are limited for each product, additional revisions can be purchased if necessary. Revised drafts are typically delivered within two business days.

What you can and cannot change:

You Can:
  • Add/remove elements or adjust their placement.
  • Rearrange pages.
  • Modify text, captions, fonts, or photo effects (e.g., convert to black-and-white).
You Cannot:
  • Add pages (additional costs apply).
  • Submit new photos outside the original archive (additional costs apply).
  • Change the book format (e.g., size or cover type).

5. Printing and delivery

Once approved, your photo book will be sent to print the next business day. Estimated production and shipping times are available on the product page and our shipping policy.
